Marlin ?
Did marlin ever make the model 29 with a factory high grade stock like the model 39s. If so what would this add to value.
I checked Brophy's book and there is no mention of it. I reminds me of a high grade model 39 that I have seen. This is a 3 digit serial no low 400's.[img][/img]

The 47 was almost the same gun, but made "pretty" and was offered to buyers of marlin stock certificates.0 -
No, early Marlin's had the serial number stamped in the wood under the top tang and this is correct. 0
