Chiappa 1911 - 22LR
I bought a cheap Chiappa 1911 22LR for plinking around and it has a regular barrel. I know they make a 'Tactical' model that has a threaded barrel but don't know if I can change it or where to get one. Anybody have any ideas. Thanks.

Not worth the effort these pistols are not of the higest quality as to how they are made or what materials they are made from and
don't function to the highest degree0 -
It's my understanding that Chiappa "no longer" sells parts. Except to FFL holders (Gunshops/Gunsmiths). I say "no longer" because I had the misfortune to believe all the great reviews and buy one when they 1st came out. And then spent even more buying parts to try to get it working properly. They sold me parts back then. But that 4-5 years ago. I ended up trading mine of for a cheap Rossi .22/410 combo set. Best trade I ever made. [B)] 0 -

I agree with GSG. They make the 22 conversion kits that Sig markets for their 1911's and I have had no problems as long as I use high velocity 22 ammunition as they state is required. 0 -

I agree, I have a GSG and really like it. I happen to have a suppressor for the GSG and thought it would be nice to use in the Chiappa but it's not worth going to a lot of expense for. (Yes I have a stamp for the suppressor) I got into the Chiappa cheap because a guy owed me $100 after a poker game and wanted to know if I would take the NIB Chiappa for what he owed me. Haven't fired it yet but it will probably end up on my 'trading' list'. Thanks for all the replies.

If you have ever dealt with Chiappa's service dept.I don't think you would ever buy another of their products. My friend had a terrible experience with them and the issue is still unresolved. 0
