Strange F N M1910 part 3

Per request, here is a few diff. pics of the extended bbl. F N mod. 1910. I didn't originate those others, and thought, with my camera I could really shine. I don't know,...I may have lost it, or what, I dunno,...I'm not one bit proud of them. What I was mostly focusing on doing though, was getting a pic of that bbl. ext. end. At slide muz. end, measures .462" dia. At bbl. muz. end, measures .422" dia. See the pic of the bushing being held at the muzzle loc. You can see a slight space. I was asked if any sights at all....yae, top of slide has them, very minimal, but normal for it. (About like "rufe-snow's" pic shows. Again, ser. no. is same on bbl, frame, and slide. Cal. mk'ing. is on bbl. hidden side.

The barrel isn't 7" long. That shoots down Bill's theory. 0 -
No, it doesn't. Perhaps the gun was made for somewhere else.
While I'm not 100% sure the nickel plating is original, I'm sure the barrel is original to the gun.0 -
Interesting.
The gap around the bushing seems wrong to me.
I wonder if this is simply a Model 1922 that has had the barrel extension replaced with a 1910 barrel bushing. Perhaps a previous owner lost their extension and put on a bushing instead. As an experiment, I tried that with a couple of mine. I swapped the 1922 extension for a 1910 bushing of the same caliber and everything worked fine. The barrel extended 1 1/8th inch past the slide this way.0 -

The sights on the Models 1910 and 1922 are different. Although the barrel bushing from a 1910, would fit on a Model 1922 slide. There wouldn't be a front sight at all. And the rear sight would be dovetailed into the slide.
The sights on the Model 1910 are very small and integral with the slide.

The gun has a 1910 slide, not a 1022.
The barrel bushing picture shows the bushing at the muzzle. The barrel appears to be tapered, so the bushing probably fits properly where it contacts the barrel.
It still appears that the gun was originally made with the extended barrel.0
