Can any one tell which side plate model is more common ,small or large frame , also what a small frame side plate 22 RF pat. date 1885 in about 80 % condition would be worth. Thanks

  Both are scarce. Not sure which is harder to find. Price is hard to say since they don't sell very often. I have one of each. I paid $1,100 for mine in .32 Long 4 years ago. I would rate the condition of mine somewhere near yours. Without photos I would hazard a guess of around $1000 give or take. To me the .22 would be worth more because of ammo availability.
