Alien Gear Holsters
Anyone have one? Pros and cons? Been looking at the various IWB tuck types. Some are pricey, and I have spent a lot on holsters that I didn't like after spending my money, like most I guess.
Most of this style seem to be very similar. I like the idea of changing shells and the guarantee is attractive.
Opinions?

I have 2 of them, got them a month or so back, they have(had?) a twofer deal that is very well priced.
I have the neoprene backed style, fairly comfortable , gun retention is good while worn, but loose when off the belt and out of the pants. When worn the pressure of the body against the holster helps secure the gun into the kydex shell.
They are in my opinion a fall/winter spring carry method here in Florida.
They are too hot and sweaty (uncomfortable)in our florida summer IMO.
I have no doubt I will be using them regularly when cooler temps arrive , I tested them in the cool air conditioned mall and they are just fine, but outdoors in the high 80's to mid 90's with high humidity no go!
They also just came out with a new model with a stainless steel stiffener that looks interesting, this might make gun retention a little better all around.0 -
Thanks. I saw that price deal on two and plan on doing that, and even an extra shell. Sounds good. Hot here too but I'm not spending a lot of time outside. [8D] 0 -
I've had one for my XDs but it is as uncomfortable as all of it's types I've tried. NOTHING wrong with the holster(s), just the physical holster size on my waist size. I tried every practical adjustment before I put it in the box with the others. (Since they seem to start out at 32 I can't find waist sizes small enough to buy pants online.) What I've found most comfortable year round is Remora. 0
