AZEX in Queen Creek AZ, Derek can be an abrasive and opinionated dude but he is the tubby Buddha of all things AK47. You'd be hard-pressed to get a nicer AK build anywhere

I bought three new AK receivers from Nodak Spud about 12 years ago plus 3 parts kits on our auction side. I'm looking for a FFL builder to assemble them. Can anyone recommend someone?
    Thanks guys,

Just a thought -- and something you're probably already considering -- but with prices of already-built AKs being quite low, it might be more economical to sell the parts kits and just buy what you want -- assuming you can find the configuration(s) you're looking for.

If these are AK parts kits from 12 years ago, I assume you have the barrels. I haven't been watching the auction side closely on them, but the older parts kits with barrels usually bring decent premiums. If your kits are matching-numbered ones too, they'll bring a premium.

The guy who wants to build one himself as a "hobby project" isn't concerned as much about the "economics." When you start "hiring out" work on something like that -- particularly if there is shipping too -- it will start adding up.

Nodak Spud can sometime be sold out of certain receivers for extended periods of time too, so, depending on what you have, those can sometimes be fairly easy to re-sell. (Again, all things you are probably already considering, but just my reaction to your post.)
