If the revolver your referring to, is the one with the flattop frame? Very uncommon and valuable. The only negative, would be in the non original grips.

My WAG if factory original? Worth in the thousands of dollars. They (Colt) only made a relative handful over the years, that the NS was in production.

This is what a Flat Top Target looks like. The one in the auction has had its barrel cut down, besides being plated.

I can't give you a dollar number to bet, but I think I am in love.

I'm not a Colt fan of the guns or the company. That said 15 years ago I was doing a lot of work in Boston and found a small shop outside of Framingham called Bay State Arms. Ended up spending many hours setting on an old leather couch on the first floor there after work, and sometimes when I should have been working.[:D] The owned died and I spent just over $24,000 there buying all kinds of old neat stuff. Sorry, I am drifting so back to Colt. They had 6 or 8 Colt New Service revolvers and half were targets and one was chambered in .44 special. It was the prettiest handgun I had ever seen and I bought it for $1300.00 in 95% or a little better. Well I sold that gun maybe two years ago on GunBroker, one cent start with no reserve and it went for $3400.00. [8D][8D] Hope this helps.

Thanks all. Yes Rufe, that's the one, except for the grips & ring. I'll see it again today & negotiate for the lot of 6. He doesn't know what he has as he thought an Erma EP22 was a real Luger.

Avoid that EP22 like the plague! Let him keep the "real Luger"[:D] Had 2 of them. Idiots that designed it. Made almost all parts out of Zamek,( potmetal ), die castings. Guaranteed to self destruct. Both of mine did. Only way to fix it is with original parts. Since they have been out of production from the 60's. Original parts are hard to come by.
