almost a 1922 Browning magazine??
I bought a magazine listed as for a 1922 browning. The pictures in the listing and the mag in hand looks just like a typical 1922 browning magazine but it won't fit. It slides into the mag well perfectly but won't seat or lock in and sticks out the bottom approx. 1/16th of an inch. Also the floor plate is about a 1/16th longer than a typical 1922 browning magazine.It has the letters I G stamped on the bottom of the floor plate.......Anyone have an idea what it might be for?

Possibly for one of the "Ruby" pistols produced on WW I French contract by four major makers and about 40 minor shops. They were operationally equivalent but not interchangeable like American 1911s from different sources. So the magazines were marked to match with the parent company.
Google says I G stands for Isidrio Gatzanaga in Eibar, Spain.0 -
