Can private individuals sell typical long guns, like a single barrel shotgun with out going thru an FFL transfer?

  Maryland has Regulated and Unregulated firearms. All sales of Regulated firearms (handguns, assault weapons) must go thru a FFL. Shotguns do not.
  
  Be aware that Federal law provides a private seller may ONLY sell any firearm to a resident of his own state, or to a FFL.
