Winchester 101 32" w/ Monte carlo stock
I got this in a trade a few years back
Went to the winchester site but they only have rifles and the new 101's
found a an independent site that showed it was made in 1970
Does anyone know if this is correct ?
And what is the K before the serial # stand for?[?][?]

My WAG, is the "K" might stand for Kodensha? This was the Japanese outfit, that made them for Winchester. 0 -
Kinda hard to know if it's correct w/o a serial number as to the 1970 dom. Is it fixed choke, or is there a winchoke in the bottom, or both barrels? Does the grip cap have the red "W"? 0 -
no red W a black metal cap w/ scrolls om it
Serial k136xxx And it has Made in Japan on the left side of Barrel Right side has Winchester New Haven Conn.
Bottom has Kodensha Co. Ltd.
Thanks for responding
Oh its fixed F & IM0 -
I purchased my 101 new in 1966. Serial # is 214xxx. Yours was probably made in early 1960's. 0 -
32" barrels, and a Monte Carlo stock? I suspect that the barrels are choked Full, and Improved Modified, and it is a Trap gun.
