Savage pistol
I have a savage pistol I've been trying to find out some info on.
It's a .380 cal. The only marking on the slide is:
Savage Arms Corp. Utica N.Y. U.S.A. cal. 380.
Patented November 21 1905.- 9 m. m.
Any info would be appreciated.
The website for savage says the serial no. is not a valid one.

Does anyone remember the article in National Rifleman mag the explained how to convert a 32 caliber to a 380. It was about 10 to 15 years ago. I would like to try the conversion .

Savage pistols haven't been manufactured since the 20's. Because of this, they have substantial collector value. Unless the .32 you want to rework, is in relic condition. Chances are that that you would negatively affect its value/demand, by reworking rebarreling it to .380. 0 -
Stupid of me to mess up one of the most important publication names duh!
Not bad advice on the collect ability issue but the 380's are very hard to find and the 32's are not difficult to find in reasonable price ranges.

I think you may be confused and the artical you are thinking about was in Man at Arms the collector magazine from NRA not the rifleman 0
