    The late Mr. William Goforth, a valued member of this forum, published the best reference I have seen on Iver Johnson handguns.

    You can look on Amazon, but be prepared to be astounded at the cost of a simple paperback. Alibris is a better deal. I got mine when they book was first printed. I DO hope Bill's family gets some of the exaggerated prices this is selling for.

    Not likely. Unless they have a hidden stash of unsold books, salted away someplace. Once a book goes out of print. The scalpers in the resale market, dictate the value. If the demand is great enough, you will just have to pay their price.[V]

    An optional 5" barrel was a dollar extra.

    Check the serial number on butt frame under left grip:
    A small number with no letter prefix will indicate a special order gun.
