Feather USA 9mm Rifle Help

I purchased the buffer upgrade kit recently and am having a problem with reassembly. The bolt was stuck years ago and I finally took it to a gunsmith last month after removing the barrel & buffer. It turned out that the sling swivel was too long and gouged the bolt. He was able to polish the bolt and now it moves freely. The original buffer was in poor condition so I purchased the above kit. Upon reassembly I find that the bolt moves only about 1" and does not cock the firing mechanism. Has anyone worked on one of these?

  Thanks dcs. I have looked at that before but now I'll print and look at it in more detail. This should be so simple. That's one of the selling points from Feather. I must be doing something wrong.
