suggestions for a holster
I just bought a model 629 smith with a 3 inch barrel. I want a nice leather holster(barrel enclosed)for hunting. I have a Bianchi for my 686 .357 but the end is not enclosed. I want the barrel end closed because I will be carrying this when I am bear hunting and don't want dirt etc in. I have searched my usual spots and so far found nothing like I want. Any help would be appreciated.

For the M29 6" I use an Uncle Mikes bandoleer style, but the barrel is longer than yours and it is also adapted for a scope, so they may not make anything that would fit. 0 -

All three make or can make what you're looking for.0 -
I made the holster for my Jet. It is fully lined and flapped. With the alice clips it fits a military pistol belt. I left the barrel open for dirt and water to get out.
I carry my 10 5/8 barrel 29's in Uncle Mikes Shoulder rigs. I have 3 of them. One of these days I'll make a brace carry and still have my single under the left arm.
One of the front carry shoulder (chest carry) rigs might be worth looking at. http://www.diamonddcustomleather.com/

Try Trinity Scrimshaw on the dark side and see if he could make you one. 0 -
For a chest rig look at Diamond D Leather out of AK. Solid chest rigs. 0
