  one meets Standard quality control for NATO ammo and one does not
  Nato should not be expanding nose ammo

  The nato spec one has a magnetic core/ jacket in the bullet and primer and bullet sealer with a pronounced heat annealing of the case necks.
  
  The federal 308 uses a regular core boat tail bullet with less annealing shown and no bullet sealer.
