    from Bass Pro catalog:
BeartoothT Recoil Pad Kits are an easy way to fix many ill-fitting shooting situations and increase comfort. Comes with a 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" and 5/8" foam insert allowing the shooter to precisely achieve their desired stock length. Reduces hard hitting recoil up to 40%.

Cut 1/4 to 1 inch pine boards to fit. Use the butt plate as a guide, trace, cut, glue together, stain, oil. 2 longer screws will hold the shim pack in place. No damage, easy to restore to original.

I like the charliemeyer007 idea. Pine is cheap and easy to work with but I'd look for plastic. I'm sure someone makes black plastic shims for the same idea.

" Pine is cheap and easy to work with but I'd look for plastic."

And will look like crap that someone cobbled up in his basement.
The OP didn't state his reason(s) for lengthening the stock so maybe I went the wrong direction. Swapping the short stock for an AR type adjustable stock is the best choice but not as simple as adding a slip-on.

might just go with a longer stock... are they hard to put on?

Pull off the butt pad to access the stock bolt. Look in the hole to determine what type of screwdriver bit or socket is needed. Might be easier if you separate the barrel and hold the receiver in a padded vise.

real easy to change stock just use screwdriver and unscrew 2 screws on buttpad to remove it, need long regular screwdriver to unscrew stock bolt and remove stock, I have a few stocks that I may sell if you are interested.
