Winchester 61 with Winchester on Receiver.
When did they produce the Winchester 61 with the Winchester name on the left side of the receiver? Is it Rare. "Thanks"

I have seen a few model 61, but none with the Win on the receiver.
There were a few Win 62's with it on the receiver that were used /sent to carnivals, state fairs, and shooting clubs as an added "plug" for the Win name.
Perhaps yours is an old carnival model???0 -

I am conducting a research survey of the Model 61 rifles and have seen several rifles marked as you describe. All but two were manufactured during 1947 or 1948. What is the caliber (chamber designation) and serial number of the rifle you have?

That serial number corresponds to 1935 production. I have cataloged just over 3000 Model 61 rifles since January of 2013 and this is the only one that is earlier than the previous mentioned 1947 and 1948 rifles I have seen.
