First series Kimber Pro Carry

I have one of the first series Kimber Pro Carry pistols currently sitting in the safe. I shot/carried it for years never experiencing problem one though disassembly was somewhat irritating needing the supplied tool-or simply a bent paper clip-to accomplish the job. Having not kept up on the history of these guns as I know I should, can anyone bring me up to speed on any known issues that they may have had?
