Remington Nylon 12 value?
I have a Remington Nylon 12 in very good condition (minus rear sight) that I am trying to value but I'm having a tough time finding any comps. Can anyone guess what the approx value of this rifle might be?
Thanks in advance!!!

Several variations of "Nylon 12" and some are more collectible than others. Check yours against the specifics of ones that have sold. 0 -
Mr Gun's problem is that a "comp" rifle would be one that is "minus rear sight". I would guess that finding a replacement rear sight would be difficult; you would need to comb the GB listings for years, hoping to find a rifle that is being parted out.
A reasonable way to determine the value of his rifle would be to find the COMPLETED sale of the same model in similar condition, & subtract 50%. It doesn't seem fair, but a missing part takes it out of the collectible category.

Thanks for the information, Guys.
Gee, that rear sight really makes a difference in value, doesn't it?
Having to remove the rear sight to disassemble the rifle is, in my opinion, a poor design. That inconvenience is likely one of the reasons so few of the sights exist. Aside from that, this appears to be a nice rifle.
This is my first experience with a Nylon 12. I've been a big fan of the Nylon 66's ever since I bought my first Apache Black 66 in 1968.
Too bad they didn't make these in .22 magnum.0 -
Yep, without the rear sight it is not even a shooter, with one it might be collectable depending upon condition, in any event with the sight a shooter is worth somewhat more than it sold for new. 0
