Rust removal on choke tube threads?
I picked up a shotgun barrel that has rust in the choke to be treads. I figured I could spray it pretty good with liquid wrench foaming liquid and stand it up in a bucket, then repeat a few times before I try a brass brush.
Any other thoughts on how to approach this, or what to soak it in, in say a soup can or something similar that can hold a small volume of liquid up to the right level?
Thanks!

There is a product called KROIL, by Kano. It does wonders at penetration, and loosening rusted parts. Get some. 0 -
The tube is out. Brass chamber brush in your drill. Kroil, regular WD-40 if you are really careful the rust removing navy jelly stuff (it eats the blueing if it get on the outside of the barrel. Perhaps the rust removing wd-40 stuff

Use good metal filled choke tube lube.
Tube is rusted in. Soak for several days. Whack a proper good fitting wrench sharply with mallet in the axis of the bore to shock threads. Use heat gun to warm the assembly, then chill the inside of the choke tube with ice, spray with canned air or a frozen metal mandrel you made that just fits.0 -
I agree with the Kroil suggestion. Once you use it, you always will. 0
