Ruger "New Model"

Is the frame slightly smaller on the Ruger Black/Red hawk, "NEW MODEL", than previous models. Mabey my memory fails me. THX

no just on the vaquero 1995 -about 2000 large beefy frame after that the slimmed it down,,also new model means transfer bar safety

Currently Ruger makes a .44 Special Blackhawk on the slightly smaller frame. They also make a .45 Colt/.45 ACP convertible for (I believe) Lipseys on that frame. That frame is the same size as my older 3-screw .357. Other than those exceptions, the new model Blackhawks are built on the .44 Magnum frame size.

And as fordsix pointed out, the newer Vaqueros are on the smaller frame.
