Lachmiller reloading shell holders
I have a Lachmiller Engineering 100 press and would like to use it but I need shell holders. Just started this search and posted in the wanted forum but have some questions.
Are the shell holders the same for the Lachmiller press and priming tool? I'm lead to believe they may be different.
Is/was there a "universal" holder made to use RCBS style holders? There is one on ebay but I'm not sure if it's for press or primer tool or both and I'd rather not buy there anyway.
How about shell holder numbers? I'm after .243 and 7mm Mag sizes.

Are they the same as the old Herder's press shell holder's? I made several adapter's for the old H. Take one of the factory holders and lathe it out to take an RCBS shell holder, drill and tap for 2 set screw through the side to hold the RCBS one in place.

When I first moved to callie in the 60's, Lachmiller was located in Burbank. Suburb of LA. They weren't in business, much past the early 70's. Got bought out/absorbed? By other reloading tool manufacturers.
Given the 40+ years. Likely fleabay would be your best bet.
Answering your questions regarding the Lachmiller reloading tools. Would be best addressed, to the "National Reloading Tools Collectors Association". They use to have a active web-site, with various forums dedicated to different manufacturers. Although I haven't been on it for years.0 -
Thanks a bunch for the info. Special thanks to charliemeyer007. The link to the RCBS/Herters adapter had a review that said it works great in the Lachmiller press. Perfect! Thanks again. 0 -

I don't know anything about this adapter? Years ago though. I bought some extended shell holders, for use in a older RCBS Rockchucker.[xx(] If this adapter changes the height of the shellholder to any great extent? You might experience similar problems? As I recall, the extended shell holders changed the leverage point. I wound up tossing them.0 -
19 of the lachmiller shell holders and one rcbs adapter.

Or you can find just the rcbs piece for $25 right below that listing.
or $8 for the 7mm mag one. By the same seller.
