I tend to make my own holsters these days. The last store bought unit that I like was a Safariland shoulder rig for my 1911. look a lot like this one. Very secure for pistol, very comfortable for me. http://www.safariland.com/shoulder/model-x15-vertical-shoulder-holster-19952.html#start=1 0 -
In the 1970s - 1980s I used a Bianchi 22 Auto #89 leather holster for my Ruger Mk I and later for my Mk II target pistols. It was a very sturdy protective holster which I used for carry while looking for arrow heads and watching out for rattlesnakes. I wouldn't store the pistol in the holster because in time the pistol would rust while in the holster even the stainless ones too. Later I found that a long hickory or oak dowel rod worked better to move the snakes on their way. 0 -
Sportsman's guide has some I was looking at. Made in USA too. 0 -
I've used Hunters for years and they are good working holsters. +1 on not storing the gun in the holster, the tanning compounds will rust it rather quickly. 0 -
I have a Triple K for my MKII, I bought it at Cabelas. Its been a great holster for me so far through many years of service. All leather and has a pocket on it for an extra magazine.

I've got a nice one from El Paso Saddlery. Like this. http://www.epsaddlery.com/pc-71-26-1927-holster.aspx
Bonus. It fits my German Luger perfectly, since Bill Ruger designed the MK series to emulate the Luger.
These aren't cheap holsters, but they'll last a lifetime.0 -
