1889 Marlin ??

at a l.g.s. I picked up a 1889 marlin in .38/40, nice metal but NO metal finish. Th 'book' say's this came with a color case hardened hammer,lever, and butt plate. can anuone confirm this. I'd like to get it back to as close to original as I can. thanks
