SAR-3 Magazine
Hello All,
I've got an SAR-3 steel magazine and was wondering how to tell if it's a Romanian or an East German piece. Aren't Romanians usually stamped so and if it isn't, I can figure it to be the other? Or did other countries make them? Thank you.

AFAIK the Romanian ones were converted AK74 magazines, the steel ones are known as "Weiger" mags and German made 0 -
Forgot to mention that the floorplate has the two spring loaded buttons. 0 -
KAMsales has it. The SAR-3 and WASR-3 were designed in East Germany as Stg. 942 rifles for export to NATO countries. The steel mags were made by Weiger, the polymer ones were converted from Bulgarian 7.62x39 mags. 0 -
Thank you all for your input. 0
