Remington Model 12 22 pump expert needed
This rifle is a 95%+ gun. Yesterday, I tried it & the lifter lifted 22lr hollow points too high to chamber. It was the same with solid points
having a more rounded nose profile.
I haven't tried shorts.
The lifter rises higher than the feed ramp.
Any experience out there with this problem?

I haven't looked inside a model 12 in 40 years. Dad like it better than the 121 which I greatly prefer and still have.
I think part #45 is worn on the stop surface and pushes the shell up too far (could be a worn/bent pin/screw or an elongated hole) I'm currently left handed or I would take the 121 down and look. Inspect #22, 23 and #27 also.0
