FN Hi Power unknown SN range
i just bought a FN hi power T series (slide marked "Fabrique Nationale D'armes de guerre - herstal - belgique" [next line] "Brownings patent depose") its a "CAL 9m/m P" pistol (i.e., 9mm). The SN is T313XXX, which is out of any known T serial number range that i can find. the T SNs are said to have stopped at 258,000. it has the proper belgium proof mark on the frame, barrel and slide, so i know it was manufactured in Belgium. i see no other identification or markings that would tell anything meaningful. im trying to determine the year of manufacturing. Please advise if you have any info that would help.

T-Series were supposed to have stopped at T261,000 when it was superseded by the C-Series in 1969. In reality, the T-series ran well into the 1970 and with serial numbers above 300,000 not uncommon.
My own T-Series is T322963, and the range goes higher than that.0 -
Is it slotted for a stock? Another ? If you were to install a stock on a slotted HP, would it require a SBR stamp/permit?? I've had a shoulder stock holster for years, could never get an answer. My HP was my Dad's bringback from 46, not slotted and fixed sights, but Nazi markings. 0 -
thanks for the input. no slot for a stock. i picked it up from an importer who purchased Israeli military/police surplus. im in the process of duracoating it. its a shooter, but i hate not knowing all the details of a weapon i own.

If it was one of the Israeli imports, it could be made up from parts of different pistols. Does your pistol have matching numbers on the barrel, frame and slide? 0
