Lyman 3x-9x Variable Scope
Hello Again,
Did anybody besides Japan make 3x-9x variable scopes for Lyman? The info from both Stroebels says it's an All-American but I've seen some that just have Lyman on the turret bases and the Japan stamping on the tube. This one I picked up have neither. It's a 3-9x42mm, 1" tube, gloss black with orange/gold ring 1/2" from objective end like a Leupold and another 2" from ocular end and reticule is a duplex which is a Lyman No.4 Center Range. Weight is 40.2oz but length is 13 1/16" which is much longer than any description. The only marking is Lyman in 3/16" white letters after the front orange ring. Thank you.
Not computer smart enough to figure out the photo stuff...sorry.

U.S. law requires, country of origin. On imported manufactured goods. 99%+, if it not marked. It was U.S. made.
I would go thru Stroebel's books. Looking for a U.S. made variable scope(s) with similar weight and dimensions. Keeping in mind, that it could have been a special order from Lyman. With weight and dimensions, different from the manufacturers own scopes.0 -
Can find nothing in either books. 0 -
Thank you for your input though, Mr. Snow. 0
