Python 8" SS
Hi, an older guy at work is going to retire soon and want to sell a few guns to pay some bills before he does. One that interested me was a SS 8" python 357 in very good to excellent shape with the original box in rough shape. Said he bought it in the late 70's early 80's. He wants 2500. What do you guys think. It that fair, will the price on these hold steady or do you see that dropping. It seams colts really increased in the last couple years.
Thanks

It seems Pythons have peaked out in price. The shorter barreled guns, under 4", are the ones retaining high value. The gun you describe with the box in "rough shape" at $2500 is at the high end. I would estimate it should be around $2000- $2500 without looking at the gun. 0 -
Your best guess, do you think the the prices will hold true or correct themself and drop? 0 -
Seems a bit high priced to me for a shooter. Very good seems low in condition to be a real collector.
I am sure prices will go up because the value of money is going down due to printing.
I had a 2" blued one I gave away. Nice pistol but would make my hand bleed with full loads and sharp checkering. Smooth grips helped, but 38 Specials were way nicer to shoot.0
