It doesn't match any F & W, in Flayderman's Guide. Probably circa 1870's? Value would depend on caliber, markings and if any collector would consider it a "rare", variation?
Spur trigger suicide specials, aren't usually worth a whole lot. This might prove the exception.

Some of your pictures showed up for a while, than they disappeared again. ( God I hate computers!).
The barrel and extractor rod on your friends F & W is different, from the one pictured in the book.0 -
from the looks of the cyc opening, im going say its a 38 cal.
also shows pat'd oct 22 '61 - apr.20'75 ser.# is something like 2879

Rufe it is listed and shown in Flayderman, page 480. Made 1870s in .32, .38, and .41 rimfire calibers.
The .32s are marked Terror, the .38s Bulldog, and the .41 Swamp Angel.
Flayderman's 9th Edition (now 8 years old) lists value range of Good $100 to Fine $350.
The grips on one shown if both intact will add value.
Need to remove the cylinder pin for closer look, it may be a homemade replacement.0 -

The patent date of "75", isn't the same, as given in Flaydermans book? Hard to say what you have, because of this? Maybe it's a little known variation. Given the differences, in the barrel and ejector? It would only be interesting to a collector of suicide specials though, IMHO.0 -

Made about 1880 or so. The F&W Bulldog was a 5 shot .38 Rimfire. Value is based on what someone is willing to pay, CONDITION is a BIG driver of value. But those carry a decent price.0 -

I don't agree with you, on this. Before the photos went away. It showed a different barrel also. Besides the patent dates given by Flayderman for this "Center hammer" model, are "1861/1871".0 -
Well, found a near match, and the '75 patent must have been something they updated:
The 1880 catalog of Homer Fisher, New York shows "Forehand & Wadsworth's Improved Terror, Bull Dog and Swamp Angel" and the pic shown matches his friend's except has octagon barrel. Same fluted cylinder and same cylinder pin.
