Leupold VX-3L Scope

Any one have the leupold VX-3L scope that can give me some pros & cons about it. I have several VX-3's that I am happy with and just purchased a Tikka T3 in a Rem 7mm Mag. I am thinking about putting a 3.5x10x50mm Boone & Crockett scope on it. One advantage is the VX-3L can be mounted lower.

  I have a couple and they're fine. If you decide that you want to get rid of it they are a little harder to get rid of though. I like the B&C reticle over the turrets.

  Do you have trouble with Mirage's with it being closer to the barrel?

  Never did, but I never got the guns overly heated up though.
