High prices on Win. model 50 barrels

Why are barrels for the Winchester mod.50 shotgun selling for such high prices?

What do you consider high? And are they actual selling prices or asking prices?

There are not a lot of model 50's, as compared to model 12's, 870's, 500's, etc. Typical shotgun barrel prices of $50 to $125 cannot be applied.

one reason is they have not been made for close to 50 years . They were never a BIG seller so not many around
