    Nope.

Full boxes which are in nice condition have some interest, but loose rounds are just plinking ammo. Keep in mind that it is corrosively primed and loaded hot to function in submachine guns.

Make a junk mail account then load your pic's to photobucket. Follow the directions in this sticky. http://forums.GunBroker.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=259294

If you had full boxes in good shape, they might have value in a period display to a collector. Loose rounds, good luck.

Ammo that old with questionable storage conditions will be hit or miss for shooting and also likely corrosive primed. Review hang fire and dud procedures for your weapon and if you are successful clean it properly when done as soon as possible.

Thanks for your answers gentlemen. I found this in outside shop area, no telling how high a temperature it's been exposed to, any danger of it's having become "too hot"? I don't have a 9mm, any brand gun okay? I will definitely brush up on hang-fire and dud procedures before firing.

From your description of the ammo, and where it has been. I would deep six it, in the closest river or lake. Not worth fooling around with. I sure wouldn't go out and acquire a gun, just to shoot it. Or give it to somebody who might have problems, using it safely.

Should be fine to shoot in a revolver.

I wouldn't shoot it. The ranges I use will both accept this sort of ammo for proper disposal. I was asking because I had some similar .45 ACP I needed to trash, but I found a guy at a gun show who gave me $80 for it. I think he thought if he put each round in a little plastic bag he could get 25 or 50 cents a round for it just because it was old. I don't know how he made out on it, and don't care. I got it out of my basement.

I won't shoot it. Not now anyhow.

But I won't throw it away or destroy it either.
Put in a steel ammo US ammo can and place it in a safe spot.

You just never know what the future brings.

If I told you 3 years ago, .22lr ammo would cost you $5.00 for a
box of 50, you would have laughed at me. Check the auction side today and see if you are laughing.

9mm cartridges with WCC42 and WRA headstamps are not very common and could be of interest to some collectors. Photos would help to put a value on them.

Thanks folks, good advice from all. I think I'll try a gun show, been a while since I've been to one anyway. If that doesn't work there are some good local ranges that can probably dispose of it safely. Or thirdly I could label it "Collector Only, Not Safe to Shoot" and maybe my heirs would realize some small windfall from it someday.
