Colt Magnum Carry .357 - barrel interchangeable?

The limited production Colt Magnum Carry .357 was supposedly based on the Colt "D" frame, "beefed-up" for the .357 magnum.

Just a simple question;

Are the later Series III and Series IV Colt .38 Detective Special "D" frame fully-shrouded barrels interchangeable with the Magnum Carry frame, or does the Magnum Carry have a different thread pattern for the shrouded 2" barrel?

Just curious.
