Remington Versa-Max....
........ semi-auto shotguns.
Does anyone have experience with these and care to give an opinion? Experience with personal use, customer satisfaction, or repair work?
I'm looking at 3.5" chambered semi-auto 12ga shotguns. I know the standard is Beretta but was wondering about this Remington

I have no experience with the Versa-Max, but......I have bought many Remington shotguns over the years. And, I bought a new 1100 last year. But, I had problems with it, & found their catalog description & customer service to be frustrating & less than helpful. I'm done with them.

I had an absymal experience with Remington's factory-authorized repair shop in Oklahoma that worked on my Remington 1100 28 Ga shotgun (see: http://forums.GunBroker.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=607939) and, based on that episode, would prefer never again to buy a Remington firearm. I cannot vouch for the Versa-Max, but I can comment on Remington's customer service--calling it a joke would be kind! Like I said, never again! I was recently in the market for a waterfowl shotgun and decided on a Winchester Super-X 3. Couldn't be happier. Looks great, handles well, performs spotlessly, and was much cheaper than the Italian jobs. That's my two cents! 0 -
