Where can I find out the date my Smith Wesson K14? The serial # is
8K28XX

  If there is one more digit in that serial number 1975

  Thanks for responding. I bought the pistol new in PA in the 70's. I am not a home now but I have a file and am pretty sure there are only 4 numbers after 8K. I may of made a mistake.

  And, what you have is a "Model 14", aka "K38".

  Should be a Model 14-3. The K-38 Masterpiece. A fine gun, to be sure.
