Leather Gun Case
I bought a rifle on the auction side and it came packed in a J C Higgins #2163 leather gun case. It's a neat old 50" shotgun case but the zipper is ripped loose in part. It seems a shame to toss it. Any ideas as to an outfit that would replace the zipper? I've had Boyt replace zippers on their cases but I don't think they'd do Sears ones.

I would think a saddle maker or good shoe maker would be able to fix it. 0 -
You might also check with a local tailor or seamstress as well. 0 -
Speedy Stitcher. I use one sew the double needle locking stitch. Artificial sinew from Tandy leather or 4 to 8 strands of dental floss is what I sew with.
My mom taught me to sew zippers into my packs when I was like 10, she was sick of doing for me every other camping trip. Funny after about the 4th one, the zippers started to last. Might be that I didn't cram so much stuff in the pack.

I'd use the local upholstery shop that works on cars and trucks 0 -
Had a local seamstress that did alterations do one a similar J C Higgins leather case many years back. Cost quite a bit at the time but it was a case that I had given to my dad as a Christmas gift when I was in high school. 0
