Put on what was on the gun originally. The closer you get the gun to the way it left the factory the more its worth from a collectors stand point. If the gun does not letter with a finish (shipped in the white) then go with case color.

I am talking about a 3rd. generation Colt saa that was all blue from the factory.

I would go with the blue on it. It will be cheaper to blue the whole gun than having to pay for a separate case color process on the frame.

If you are primarily interested in resale value, the barrel length is probably more important. (The shorter, the better.)

OTOH, my personal philosophy has always been:
    ---buy what you like, &
---buy the best that you can afford

    Peddler,
Unless I'm missing something, it's unclear to me whether you're wondering which would be the better gun to buy with an eye to re-sale value, or if you have a SAA that you're planning to have refinished to sell.
To my eye the case hardened frame is the more attractive and traditional, but this may or may not translate to higher resale value depending on any number of variables.
If you already have the gun, and are planning to have it refinished, UNLESS it's already been redone once, DON'T DO IT! With the arguable exception of going for the full "Turnbull" treatment, nothing will deflate the value of a good Colt like having it refinished!
Just my 2 cents worth. Free advice and likely worth what you paid for it. ;-)

I like the looks of the all-blue SAA.
I am in the minority, case colors are more popular.
Would I pay more for blue?
    No.
