Glock 17L

Looking at mounting a reflex site on a Glock 17 longslide. I have heard of filing the rear site flat and drilling 2 holes in the site. I guess that would depend on which reflex site whether there would be overhang, considering the Burris fastfire II.
Am looking at other options than drilling the slide, thanks.
