Blueing

Can anyone tell me if cold blue will work on stainless steel parts? I have a Smith stainless ejector rod that I wish were blue. Thanks....BT

i have about ten guns that need reblueing. these were in a room that was flooded. most are shotguns, rem 1100 browning a5 win mod 42. can anyone recommend a gunsmith that can do a factory quality blue at a fair price?

If it is a model that has a blue counterpart - i.e. M-19/M-66; M-36/M-60 you could just order a blue one and swap it.

Bluing on stainless wont work, metal comp would vary your finish even if you could get it to stick. You could look at having it anodized or even powder coated but the finish will never match.
