Yes I posted long ago and still cannot find info I have a sealed keg of DuPont m6x powder smokeless and would like to know what it was for any help?

Post photos, using the instructions on this link. Somebody might be able to identify the powder from the photos of the can, and it's markings.

Sounds like it may be a keg of DuPont Pistol #6 which was developed from Dupont MX Shotgun powder ca. 1930s.
But, that's only a guess based on the limited description.

Dupont used to sell powders labeled with numbers like "17 1/2" was military rifle....
"30" was rifle powder....."7" was pistol, and others.0 -
Dupont #6 was a replacement for their #5 Pistol powder. Both were used
extensively in the 45ACP. Number 6 Pistol was not particularly well received and Dupont went back to the original #5 but relabeled it as
5066.0
