Any comments on the SOCOM as far as using it for hunting hogs and Coyotes?

  Look like a nice unit to me. Ball ammo for yotes if you plan on using the fur.

  I have a Socom 16, but have never used it for coyotes. I use a 16" .223 for that. IMO a .308 is over kill for coyotes. Hogs are a different story. They are much tougher than yotes, especially the larger ones.
