Custom Springfield Con't

That is one beautiful rifle. Having that barrel style with rear receiver sight, i'd assume it's an A3. Could it have been remarked?
Are there other receiver markings?
If it is in truth an early 03, it would be worth replacing the receiver with an A3 receiver and have a fine, safe rifle.
I saw that kind of deep engraving in Japan in the early'50s
but that leaf pattern looks German.
