Colt Magnum Carry - appx how many made?

I'm trying to find out more information on the Colt Magnum Carry - Colt's little 357 snubbie revolver, stainless, that was made in 1999 in limited numbers.

Approximately how many were made? There seems to be a "First Edition" series and not sure what that means exactly - and - approximately how many of them are out there? If the gun is a limited edition - how can one tell? Is it determined by serial number or is it stamped differently?

Any comments about this little snub are appreciated.

  Hopefully Judge Colt, will show up. He will happily, give you chapter and verse on it.
  
  If he doesn't respond here. Check the various on-line Colt forums. I believe he dispenses his wisdom, on all of them.
