Seeing that wood reminded me of my Uncle Mike's Model 70.

I've bought more than 1 rifle because they had nice wood. Those are beautiful examples.

the figure is pretty, but appears way too fragile. I'd be concerned that it would end-up being a two piece stock. 0 -

You can kind of get the idea. No they are not cheap, and some of their exhibition grade blanks cost as much as $3000.00 for an add on.

A couple have straight grain across the pistol grip.
Not good in my book.
Others have beautiful figure..0
