Rem 1100 buttstock

are a 20ga and a 12ga buttstock interchangeable? Possible dumb questing I know.

  Only if the 20ga is a pre '77 Standard frame, they were built on the 12ga receiver.

  serial # ending in "X" or "N" will be the standard weight 20 Ga. same frame size as the 12 Ga...
