Found this by Googling 'Sig CP4 Optical Sight'. https://www.sigsauer.com/upFiles/CmsContent/documents/2CP4_SIGTacOpticalSight_Instructions_8500895_REV02_HR.pdf

It doesn't appear to have any drop compensation built in but is set up to help you determine range to target. Personally, I think there are probably better optics choices out there.

ATE topics are limited to 10 posts so edit one of your other posts so as not to use up space.
I'm no 'expert' per se, but I'd start by figuring out what the primary use of the rifle will be. Then look at the differnt optioons available.

Thank you NeoBlackdog. Does anybody have input or recommendation on optics for Sig Sauer 716 308/7.62? Thank you.

It depends on what you are going to use your rifle for. I have 16 and 20" uppers for my 7.62. One for CQB type shooting and the other as a REPR type weapon.

I purchased the CP4 for my 5.56's and I understand they are/were out. They had a large promotion on their CP1 and CP4 recently and there were those who tried to order then but could not. I chose the CP4 because they were out of the CP1.

Again, depending on what you are using your 7.62 for, would determine the power and configuration of the scope. I shoot mine at 100 - 600 yds so I tend to used a higher power variable. If I had to chose a single power, I would probably go with a 10x scope for that type of shooting.

I you plan to use yours for 200 yards and less, then a 4x scope may suffice.

I have a Sig Sauer 716 308/7.62. I looking at the Sig Sauer CP4 Optical Sight 4x Red/Green Illum. First can't find it under Sig Sauer web site, so who makes it? Next it listed for use in 223/5.56, is it compatible with the 308/7.62?? Thank you, JC

I bought one of these recently, I like the way it looks and seems to be built sturdy. The optics look quality, red or green with different brightness levels, and I love the 4X. I have a Bushnell red dot, but it doesn't have the 4X magnification like the Sig, and the optics look cheap compared to the Sig. I haven't mounted mine on a rifle yet, but very soon.
Here's where you can find them, around a $100.
