Remington 783

Does anybody have a strong opinion about this rifle?

  I was thinking of getting a 783 in 308 or 30/06 and was wondering if anyone had any pros or cons to it. I have a 700 in .243 and like it but want something a little bigger.

  I have yet to have the time or the desire to handle one of these. It is built for a price point using Savage technology in both the trigger and the barrel attachment, neither of which I care for at all.
