Illinois buck (Morgan County)
One of my customers brought me 3 bucks to mount today. I have been doing a side business doing European mounts just to make a few extra bucks. One of the 3 bucks he brought was a Illinois bruiser. The rack was not really big, but the head and neck were huge compared to what we have here in Virginia. Even our mountain bucks rarely get this big. Our deer get much larger racks on a regular basis, but the size does not compare. I have a cousin out in Illinois, so I may be heading out next season to pay him a visit. Th guy that shot this buck said it weighed 208 lbs. The pictures do not show how big this buck is. Nice one.

His head and neck were so big, it makes the rack look small.
For all you Illinois hunters, is there any decent hunting around Rock Falls, Illinois? My cousin lives in Rock Falls and I may head out to hunt.

NIce looking deer.
Rock Falls pretty far north from where I am. Not sure on how the hunting is up there.0
