SR 4756 in M1 Carbine
Over the weekend I picked up a can of SR 4756 powder. I grabbed this simply because I had seen it listed in my old Lyman manual for loading the M1 carbine. The max load listed is 7.3grs. and this is like a pellet gun and will not function the action. Before I start increasing the load I would like to know if there are any higher loads listed anywhere. I read somewhere that older Speer reloading manual list other loads. Can anyone provide a functional load with this powder?

Speer #9 lists 7.5 gr for the 100gr plinker and 7.3 gr for the 110 gr hollow point. 0 -
SR 4756 is a premier powder for the 16 ga. Others work out better for rifles. 0
